About Michael Seamans Photographer

I am an escaped newspaper and sports photographer who has broken out of the news box. I am based in New London, New Hampshire, a short drive from the White Mountains of N.H., the Green Mountains of Vermont, the Adirondack Mountains of New York, the New England seacoast, Boston and the world.

I am an avid hiker, skier, cyclist and organic gardener. I am a "foodie," a bread baker and travel junkie. My wife and I own a big black horse named Fredd, about 45 chickens and three cats.

I have a passion for natural light, life, travel and adventure. I have travelled and photographed all over the US, China, Italy, Ireland, Switzerland and Nicaragua. I have been an environmentalist and human rights supporter since becoming a dues-paying member of Greenpeace and Amnesty International in high school and continue in my support of a peaceful and sustainable world view. I welcome any opportunity to further these causes through photography.

I have many passions, but photography is my ultimate passion because it allows me to tell compelling stories through compelling images, meet incredible people and be involved in the world around me. It allows me to look at things differently and hopefully communicate that difference and open other people's eyes to the possibilities. Photography, as well as life, is full of endless possibilities.
